Foundation

The Institute of Construction and Composite Design was founded as a supporting association by representatives of the University of Chemnitz and the Förderzentrum Mittelsachsen GmbH in Flöha.

Beginning

The Institute of Construction and Composite Design e.V. (KVB) started its activities as a legally independent institution.The company headquarters used to be the Förderzentrum Mittelsachsen GmbH in Flöha.

Relocation to the TCC

Company headquarters and production facilities were relocated to the Technologie Centrum Chemnitz (TCC). In the same year the company's eligibility for government funding from the state of Saxony was evaluated by the Fraunhofer Society for Management.

Name change and restructuring

The company became a non-profit private limited company following a restructuring of KVB. This included building teams for each business segment as well as redesign of appearance.
